Behind the rise and fall of many lighting companies, quality management, or in its essence: process management, is a key factor for one to stand out and foster long-term business relationships. So, what does it take to make high-quality LED products? What does a reliable quality management process look like? Last month, we paid a special visit to the top lighting exporter, Shanghai WELLMAX Lighting Industry (WELLMAX), to find the answer.<\/p>\n<p>WELLMAX, renowned as the LED BULB EXPERT, has over 30 years of business experience in the lighting industry. Its QC manager, Mr. Yang, introduce their integrated QC system to us. He shared with us that WELLMAX\u2019s QC system is all about products, processes, and the people behind it. Most importantly, quality control does not only start with finished goods. Earlier this year, the WELLMAX R&amp;D team spent over 6 months optimizing the solution before they released a new luminaire product series, the <a href=\"https:\/\/wellmaxgroup.com\/portfolio\/eagle-eye-spotlight\/\">Eagle Eye Spotlight<\/a>. Once introduced to the markets, the series was wildly welcomed by WELLMAX\u2019s clients and has been sold over 300,000 pcs in less than a month. The popularity shows not only that the product meets market demands, but also that WELLMAX has built its trust amongst clients.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing Pre-Manufacturing Processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Standardization of the production process is a fundamental QC homework. Besides that, the WELLMAX QC team conducts 100% inspection on all incoming raw materials at pre-manufacturing stage. Over 50 criteria must be checked-off by Mr. Yang\u2019s team on-site to minimize the risk of having defective goods at the end of the production line.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spot Check Before Shipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All finished lights undergo a minimum 45-minute aging test for its final quality control inspection. In the final stage, WELLMAX team will do a random sampling to pick products out of the batch for a 24-hour test in UL-BOX (50\u2103). Drop test will also be conducted along with inspections on packaging and loading process.
